Staying In and Making it Special: The FFSO Cooking Challenge with Marley Spoon

Let’s face it, folks: we’re not going to many holiday parties this year.

But if 2020 has taught us one thing (other than to wear a mask and vote) it is that we can always appreciate the simple things in life even more. Like cooking for a loved one. Especially if that loved one could use a break from cooking three meals a day since March. Especially if that loved one is me.

I’m a great cook - and I love cooking - but when I thought of my fiancé receiving a three-meal Martha & Marley Spoon meal kit to prepare great tasting Martha Stewart approved meals for me this holiday, I basically squealed with excitement.

Which brings me to the point of this blog post:

We’re looking for three Freelancing Females (and FF Significant Others aka FFSOs as I like to call them) to partake in an excellent challenge with us: if you are the person in your family who usually ends up doing most of the cooking, we’re giving you a break, and give your FFSO everything they need to make you three beautiful meals. Well, I was thinking about my fiancé happily cooking away in one of my floral aprons, but then I thought about how much I will miss the big dinner parties we usually host at this time of year. The clinking of glasses, the communing over shared seasonal ingredients, oohing and ahhing at beautiful creations… Indeed, for the safety of my older vulnerable family members, it will be a small holiday this year.

But who says we can’t have a holiday party together, in some way??

I say, we can.

That’s why we’re hosting a Freelancing Females and FFSOs holiday party on December 12th! Singles, couples, roomies, families: all are invited to cook and celebrate with us!

To kick off the party, we’re going to be having a cooking challenge grand finale competition where we can ALL cook together and our FFSO participants will be eligible to win a Martha & Marley Spoon prize!

So FFs, let’s recap:

1. Three lucky FFSOs can cook for you for free, and maybe become insta-famous in the process,

2. We’ll all be cooking fabulous Martha & Marley Spoon meals together and eating like queens,

3. We’re throwing a worldwide FF holiday party, preceded by a

4. FFSO cooking challenge to kick off the festivities!

This holiday season may be weird, but it doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be charming and delicious, in its own way ;)
